(Early 1700s) was a Spanish Priest who founded several East Texas missions, most of the East Texas missions failed and he moved to San Antonio started another mission there.
Antonio Margil de Jesus
(Early 1700s) Spanish priest at the East Texas mission San Francisco de Los Tejas. Wrote to French Catholic Priest to ask them to hold services for the native people when Spanish Priest were not available. This caused Spanish to become suspicious of French Colonization.
Father Francisco Hidalgo
(1750s) served as military commanders in South Texas, played a key role in Spanish Colonization of that area. Moved to LeBahia mission and presido from the Guadalupe River to present day site at Goliad.
