Q

For 2D MRI, table time is equal to what?

A

2D Table time = TR * Phase matrix * NEX

Where,

TR = Time between each RF pulse

NEX = Number of times each set of encoding steps is repeated per TR

16
Q

What is the formula for SAR?

A

SAR = B02 * Alpha2 * duty cycle

  • B0 is magnet strength
  • Alpha is the flip angle
  • duty cycle is tissue cooldown time via TR (TR increased by 2x will decrease SAR by ½)
17
Q

What are the annual QC items for MRI?

A

Slice position and thickness accuracy

RF coil check

Display monitor check

Magnetic field homogeneity

18
Q

How are spatial resolution and SNR related?

A

Inversely
