Hydraencephaly

  1. Near complete destruction/lack of the neocortex
  2. Associated with in utero viral infection (panleukopenia), hypoxia, hypoperfusion
  3. Contiguous with the lateral ventricle

  2. Altered signal intensity = hemorrhage
  3. Syringomyelia

Cysts causing >14% compression of the occipital lobe are always associated with clinical signs. No association with the amount of cerebellar compression
