Depressor
Anything that depresses, such as a muscle, agent, or instrument
Evert
to turn inside out; to turn outward.
Invert
Referring to a foot, or part thereof, which is tilted in the frontal plane, so the plantar surface faces toward the midline of the body and away from the transverse plane, or another specified reference point
Supinator
- muscle of deep layer of proximal part of posterior compartment of forearm; origin, lateral epicondyle of humerus radial collateral and anular ligaments, and supinator ridge of ulna; insertion, anterior and lateral surface of radius; action, supinates the forearm; nerve supply, radial (posterior interosseous).
- a muscle that supinates, that is, twists the forearm about a longitudinal axis from the pronated or neutral position toward one in which the palms face anteriorly (in the anatomic position).
Transverse
Lying across the long axis of the body or of a part.
Volar
Relating to the palm of the hand or the sole of the foot; specifically : located on the same side as the palm of the hand
