How can Ice make the rock worn away?
When drops of rain falls into the creaks of the rock and when the weather gets cold it freezes and when it turned to ice, it expands. The ice presses hard against the side of the cracks and make the rock break off.
How can water make the rock worn away?
Rainwater is also a weak acid, and it gradually dissolves rocks made of chalk and limestone.
How can changes in temperature make the rock worn away?
The big difference in temperature between day and night weakens the rocks and slowly worn them away.
