how should u use the lanes in the motorway
stay on the left hand lane unless you are overtaking.
then move back after ur done.
ur joining a motorway from a slip road, how should u deal with traffic already on the motorway?
match ur speed to traffic in the left hand lane and filter into a safe gap
no hard shoulder stuff!!!
ur car gets. puncture and ur on the hard shoulder, what do u do?
use an emergency telephone and call for help.
no self repairs. u n passengers leave out of left door and go to telephone.
what should you do while ur driving or riding on a motorway?
look much further ahead than you would on other roads.
NOT concentrate more than you would on other roads.
on a smart motor way u see 50 above 4 lanes and above the left most a sign that says queue ahead. what lanes can you use?
all lanes, including the hard shoulder. but look for any vehicles that may have broken down in the hard shoulder blocking traffic flow.

which vehicles are prohibited from using the motorway
powered mobility scooters.
motorcycles OVER 50 cc and double dec buses are fine.
