Q

What are the negatives of a career in medicine?

A

Pay
Work hours
Lack of budget in the nhs
Think twice before giving healthcare in the NHS

P - Work hours
E - I notice that the doctors need long work hours because patients can arrive at any time, however I also notice that even doctors are human, and that they also need rest.
R - I believe the best way to counter this is by increasing the amount of doctors in the uk, which would be difficult because of brexit, which we have no control over, however something we could control is the endurance which medical schools form. Practitioner health program

Q

What are your best qualities?

A

My best quality in my opinion is that I am resilient.

For example, recently during mocks I was unfortunately suffering due to tonsillitis. Because of this, after finishing my school day I would be fatigued and had multiple thoughts of even giving up.

However instead I analysed my situation and made a plan for myself.

I have the privilage to be in this interview.
- Advantage as it made me a better person
- Managing stress skills - doctor
- can lead to mistakes and consequences
