Motion and pressure Flashcards
How do you measure speed
Speed (M/S) = distance travelled (m) divided by time taken(s)
Why are liquids incompressible
Because the water particles touch each other so there is little space in between the particles to get squeezed
How do you calculate pressure
Pressure(n/m squared) divided by area(m squared)
Why do balloons pop
Because the cash pressure gets too high which means they cause to bump into each other more expanding the balloon to its maximum
What does acceleration do
how quickly your speed is changing
What is relative motion
How fast something is travelling compared to another
What is density
The mass of a material in a certain volume
What is the law of moment
When an object is in equilibrium ,the sum of the clockwise moment is equal to the sum of anticlockwise moment
What is centre of mass
The point in an object where the force of gravity seems to act
