What is Newtons first law of motion?
Law of inertia- A body in motion will stay in motion unless acted by an external force. A body at rest will stay at rest unless acted upon by an external force.
What is Newton’s second law of motion?
Law of mass and acceleration- A bodys acceleration is directly proportional to the force exerted upon it and is in the same direction as the force.
What is Newton’s Third Law of motion?
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction
What is linear mometum?
a measurement of mass in motion. The product of a bodys mass and velocity.
What kind of quantity is linear momentum?
a vector quantity.
What is the law of conservation of meomentum?
When two or more objects interact (collide of seperate) their total momentum remains constant showing that no external force is acting upon them.
