MOs and SDs Flashcards
MO
motivational operation, antecedent, temporarily increases value of reinforcement
EO
establishing operation, evocative effect, increases value of reinforcer, associated with deprivation
AO
abolishing operation, abative effect, associated with satiation
Sd
Discriminative Stimulus, lets you know that reinforcement is available
S delta
lets you know that reinforcement is not available
UMO
unconditioned motivating operation; unlearned stimulis that alters the value of primary reinforcers
CMO
conditioned motivating operation; stimulus that alters the value of primary or secondary reinforcers due to previously pairing
CMO-S
Surrogate CMO; alters value of consequences that are under the control of an MO with which it has been paired; ie time on clock (CMO-S) signals hunger for lunch
CMO-R
Reflexive CMO; alters the value of its own removal or continued presence of stimulus; ie don’t want it when there but do when removed
CMO-T
Transitive CMO; alters the value f another stimulus; ie lock on fridge establishes reinforcing value of key
Conditional Discrimination
4 term contingency; reinforces response to a particular stimuli ONLY IF accompanied by another stimuli
Stimulus Discrimination
restricts/ narrows stimulus controlby narrowing the range of stimuli that evoke behavior (to get a more specific response)
