How to auto-level?
Input signal. Adjust S.O.S. to full counterclockwise. Hold REC, press SHIFT. Ideally, hold for a few seconds.
How to record in to a new Splice?

What does a solidly lit REC light indicate?
Recording is in progress

What does a flashing SHIFT light indicate?
The SD card is being written to. DON’T REMOVE!
How to clear all audio from a Reel?
Hold SHIFT, then press and hold REC for 3 seconds
What does a flashing REC light indicate?
Recording is armed and waiting for a clock pulse to start
What does a solidly lit SHIFT light indicate?
The SD card is mounted and ready.
How do you mount the SD card?
Press SHIFT.
How do you enter Reel mode?
Hold SPLICE and press REC
You are in Reel mode. How do you exit?
- Hold SPLICE and press REC
- Or, by deleting the last reel
- Or, by removing the SD card
You are in Reel mode. The Reel light is flashing pink/white alternating. What does this mean?
The last reel is selected. Upon exiting Reel mode, a new Reel will be created automatically.
You are in Reel mode. How do you delete a Reel?
Hold SHIFT, press REC.
You are in Reel mode. You just deleted the last Reel. What happens?
Reel mode is exited. A new Reel is created automatically.
How do you record in to the current Splice?
Just press REC.
How do you stop recording?
Two ways: press REC, or record until the maximum amount of audio has been recorded.
What is the maximum amount of audio that can be recorded in to a Reel?
2.9 minutes
If no Splices are present on the current Reel, what happens when REC is pressed?
A new splice is created and record into that splice begins.
How do you record in to a new Splice?
Hold REC, press SPLICE
How do you skip / increment to the next Splice?
Press SHIFT
How do you delete a Splice marker?
Navigate to the desired splice. Hold SHIFT, press SPLICE.
What does deleting the current Splice marker do to the remaining splices?
Joins the current splice with the next splice.
How do you delete all Splice markers in a Reel?
Hold SHIFT, press SPLICE for 3 seconds.
How do you delete audio from a Splice?
Hold Shift, press REC.
With a clock patched to Play, what features are disabled?
It is not possible to delete Splice markers, Splice audio, all Splice markers, or all Splice audio.
With a clock patched to Shift, what becomes difficult to do?
Reliably record.
How does the Play CV gate input work?
A high gate plays. A gate held high loops. A gate held low (after playback starts) causes playback to end after the end of Splice is reached.
What does a lit SPLICE button indicate?
The end of the Splice has been reached.
With a CLK source patched, what does a red Morph Activity Window indicate?
Gene shifting
With a CLK source patched, what does a blue Morph Activity Window indicate?
Time stretching
