More shit to remember Boson notes Flashcards
Bandwidth
Bandwidth – refers to data throughput on a link
Delay
Delay – refers to the length of time required to send a packet to a destination.
Throughput
Throughput is how much information actually gets delivered in a certain amount of time.
So if bandwidth is the max amount of data, throughput is how much of that data makes it to its destination – taking latency, network speed, packet loss, and other factors into account.
split-MAC deployment.
Authentication and resource reservation are functions performed by a WLC in a split-MAC deployment.
Autonomous System Boundary Router (ASBR)
Autonomous System Boundary Router (ASBR) – if default-information originate/redistribute in OSPF config mode, the Cisco IOS automatically considers this router as an ASBR.
An ASBR redistributes routes from other routing protocols into the OSPF domain.
