Q

What is the practical for exothermic and endothermic

A

1) measure 30cm3 of dilute hydrochloric acid using a measuring cylinder
2) transfer the acid into a polystyrene cup in a beaker to stop it from falling
3) use a thermometer to measre the temperature of the acid
4) use a measuring cylinder to measure 5cm3 of sodium hydroxide solution and pour it into the polystyrene cup
5) place a lid on the cup and place the thermometer in the hole of the lid
6) stir the solution
7) look at the temperate rise and record it
8) repeat steps 1 to 7 using 10cm3 of sodium hydroxide
