What is morality
Morality pertains to the goodness or badness of an action
Notion of good
A thing is good if it serves the purpose for which it was made

principles for applying the 3 moral determinants?
Principle 1
Intrinsically evil moral objects never become good acts even if they are done with good motive or under good circumstances, including good outcomes.
Principle 2
Intrinsically evil acts may become less evil or worse, or of a different kind, through motive or circumstances.
3rd principle
Intrinsically good moral objects may become better through motive and circumstances in degree or kind
4th
Intrinsically good moral objects mat become completely evil or less good through a bad motive, and less good if performed under bad circumstances
5th principle
Circumstances make hypothetical indifferent acts good or evil in real life
Impedents to free will
Violence - physical force that compels one to permit what he foes not will to do
Fear - aversion to threatened future evil
Concupiscence - disorderly desire for emotion and bodily pleasure
Ignorance - lack of knowledge in a person who should possess such knowledge
Error
Judging morality of human acts by considering only the intention or circumstances.
