Q

Describe the Fuel systems

A
  • two wing mounted tanks 64 usable gallons of 100LL
  • two visual indicators on wings
  • fuel drains located on each tank at the lowest point
  • three position selector on the floor (left, right, off)
  • Gascolator drain located left of the selector valve (lowest point of the system)
  • Engine driven fuel pump
  • Electric boost pump (used for priming and backup)
  • Indicators - panel electric fuel quantity indicator for each tank & annunciater panel there is a low fuel warning light for each tank that comes on when there are approx 3 gal

Q

Describe the Landing Gear

A
  • Tricycle, electrically operated retractable gear
  • airspeed sayety switch located on back of airspeed indicator prevents retraction below approx 65kts +7/-4
  • Airspeed by-pass valve for maintenance
  • controlled by two position switch locate left of center of upper panel
  • manual extension in between the seats
  • indicators for gear down - light on annunciator & aligned indicator mark in window on floor between front seat (gear down)
  • Indicator for gear up - no lights & indicator on floor is barber pole
  • Warning system includes lights on annunciator panel, the floor indicator, and warning horn when gear is up and power is less than approx 1/4 in from closed position
  • retracted after 2 indications of positive rate of climb & max speed is 107kts
  • Extension below 132kts
  • during emergency operations pull circuit breaker, unlatch red cover over manual system that disengages motor, and pull cable till geen light appears (check with floor indicator and test horn with throttle)
