Volverse es similar a ponerse, pero tiene el sentido de una cambio mas permanente: Después de la muerte de su novia se volvió adicto a las drogas. Nadie sabe porque se volvió alergico a los gatos.

Llegar a ser se usa con sustantivos (cargos, profesiones) y se refiere a un proceso que requiere cierto tiempo: Era analfabeto pero llegó a ser Presidente de la República. Era muy inteligente y llegó a ser el primer premio nobel de su país.

Hacerse tiene un sentido de cambio más inmediato: Se hizo rico de la noche a la mañana. Se hizo famoso luego de la película.
