What is Federalism
A political system where local government unit can make final decisions regarding some governmental activities and whose existence is protected.
What is Fiscal Federalism?
Fiscal federalism is about how different levels of government, like national, state, and local, share and use money.
In short, it’s how governments manage money together.

Requires state and national government to share powers

Grant programs that provide federal assistance for broadly defined functions

Statistics that describe populations and their characteristics
