what is prosocial behaviour? (L8)
A
voluntary actions that are intended to benefit a different individual or group
- we are motivated to be prosocial individuals

how do children develop prosocial behaviour?
A
- elicits positive affect
- positive consequences (e.g., praise) - positive feedback scaffolds prosocial behaviour
- social learning
- guilt (increase of awareness of the consequences our actions have on someone, increases our prosocial behaviours)
