What are strikes?
During this time workers were treated poorly and the working environment was slacking. To try and change this, workers went on a strike which is a protest to change something. Workers also did this for higher pay.
What is a Union?
Unions could be formed to represent a lot of different things. A big one During this time was the National Trades Union. factory workers opposed this union but the Massachusetts supreme court supported it.
Were treated unfairly because their bosses would make the workers increase their pace and lower their pay. Working conditions were also not good. Supreme court supported them to go on strike.
