The CBA is a contract negotiated between a union and an employer. They outline terms and conditions of employment, resolving disputes and fostering a positive workplace. Agreements can cover a range of issues, including wages, working hours, and grievance procedures.

what is the difference between being let go and being fired for cause? What legal aspects and damages are involved in cases of wrongful dismissal?

A

Just cause the employer has justifiable and defensible reasoning for firing and don’t have to give notice or pay. Being let go for reasonable notice upon termination, they are legible for pay or notice based on the Bardel factors, including years of service age, employment, availability of similar employment and additional notice.

What are some different ways an employment agreement can end?

A

Express term – fix contract duration.
Implied term – termination with reasonable notice
By frustration – impossible performance due to emergency event.
By summary – without notice or breach of contract termination.
Constructive dismissal, the employer basically forces the employee to quit by being hostile, and giving a bad employment environment, which is a breach of contract
