work on an online document like the case of a Google Docs. Collaborators need not be present in an office since they can
collaborate even on different locations around the world

Documents before are passed around the office in folders, envelopes or typewritten reports. If these are needed in a different
location, it has to be sent via couriers. Nowadays, documents can just be saved in a local server and accessed by the entire office. It can be emailed and is received by the client on the same day in just a matter
of seconds. Voluminous documents can now just be saved in a tiny flash drive, thus, easier to carry or hand over to a colleague in the office.

It is expensive but there are free and open source online word processors. These documents can be saved in a native Word format and thus can be easily opened as well. Thus, there is no need to lay out
