Q

What is stress in mental health?

A

Stress is a physical, chemical, or emotional factor that causes bodily or mental tension and may be a factor in disease causation.

Contrary to popular belief, stressors are not always negative. For example, major life events like graduation and weddings can be stressful but ultimately positive for the individual experiencing the stress.
