Do you need a maintenance release for elementary work?
No
What is classified as elementary work
Work that does not require a licensed AME to do, however must still be recorded such as seat belt changes / etc.

The owner

What must be included in the recording of elementary work?
- Product identification
- A brief description of work
- Reference to standard used
- The date
- Where a task is partially completed, a general description of any outstanding work
- Including location and parts that have been disturbed

What is a technical record?
A record of all maintenance done on the various aircraft parts / systems
How long must you keep the tech records?
Must be kept for a minimum of 2 years
What is a journey logbook and what must you do with it before flight?
- All times, crew, anomalies recorded during flight in the logbook during taxiing / flight
- Must be on board before each flight
