Redness, edema, ecchymosis, drainage, approximation

Clear- watery

Thick yellow, green, tan, or brown
Serosanguineous
Pale, red, watery
Sanguineous
Bright red, active bleeding, clots

Red, moist tissue, wound healing

Soft yellow, need to be removed to heal

Dead tissue, dark and crusty
