Q

What are the Different Types of Data?

A

Nominal: data is categorical and has no value.
Ordinal: data exists in categories that are ordered, but differences cannot be determined.
Interval: provide information about order and magnitude of difference.
Ratio: data with an absolute 0.

Q

What are the Different Types of Rating Scales?

A

Q
  1. What is Test Tryout?
A

Should be administered:
- The same as the final product.
- To a similar population that it was designed for.
- 5 - 10 subjects per item.
The goal is to have good items that are reliable and valid.

Q
  1. What is Test Revision (New Test)?

16
Q
  1. What is Test Revision (Existing Test)?
A

Can be done if material is outdated, norms no longer represent population, psychometric properties could be improved, underlying theory has changed.

17
Q

What is Cross-Validation?

A

The new test has no sample norms, and needs new sample norms.

18
Q

What is Co-Validation?

A

Testing two or more tests on same sample.
