Wash hands with soap, clean work area
Label bas of agar plate
Light Bunsen on blue flame
Open lid and pass the neck of the E coli culture bottle through the Bunsen
Use the sterile pipette to draw up E.coli
Pass bottle through flame and close lid
Add culture onto agar plate, replace lid immediately
Lift one edge of the lid and use the spreader to spread the culture, replace lid
Pass the tips of forceps through Bunsen
Pick up the mast ring onto agar using forceps
Secure lid using 3 pieces of tape, not airtight
Leave for 24 hours at room temperature
