Define Form
it’s a database object used to enter, edit or view the data from a record
What happens when you open an existing form in Design View?
it displays a palette that contains the text and the fields used on the form
What is a Property Sheet?
it contains attributes that control the appearance of different components of a form
what are 2 ways to create a form?
Choosing Create then Form
Right click an existing form in the pane and then use copy and paste commands
What are the three basic types of controls that you can add to forms
Bound, unbound and calculated controls
What do bound controls do?
tie form data to the source table data
what does unbound controls do?
they can be text, shapes, and images
what are calculated controls?
it uses data from other fields to perform a calculation
What is the main difference between resizing and moving?
The mouse pointer appears as a white select arrow
How many parts are there in bound control?
2 parts: removing labels and controls selected
What are Themes?
Designs that were developed by a group of professional design specialists
What are some additional form properties?
record selector bar, scroll bars, and navigation buttons.
in what views are the Property Sheet available?
Both in Design and Layout Views
What Happens when you press Tab or Enter?
Access moves from one field to the next
What does a Split form do?
shows two views of your table data: Layout/Form and Datasheet
