Describe a cat in fight mode:

A

when a cat is in fight mode, it’s body will stiffen and will have facial tension, it eyes will be staring, they also may struggle, growl or hiss. The tip of their tail may twist and their ears may rotate forwards as they strike with a front paw. They may lung forwards and bite.

Describe a cat in flight mode:

A

Cats in flight mode avoid eye contact and turn away. Their body and face will be tense. They will be crouched, tail tucked and they will retreat as far away as possible.

A

The cat may appear restless, they may have wide eyes, they may lick their lips, scanning, pacing, pawing, sniffing, blink or shake off as if they were wet.

A

The body will stiffen and they will have a tense appearing face, the cat will freeze in place and might tremble, eyes wide and mouth closed,

A

In addition to the four f’s cats will also yowel, gorwel, hiss or even scream.

A

Lying down, streched out on the cage, a vacant expression on their face, showing agression and swating at a handler. Also they may disrupt the contents of the cage.
