What is the function of the nucleus?:

A

Structure: The nucleus is surrounded by the double membrane called the nuclear envelope, with nuclear pores. Inside there is a nucleolus, in which does not have a membrane and contains RNA.
Function: It is the control centre of the cell, storing the organism’s genome and transmitting the genetic information it holds, while providing the instructions for protein synthesis.
