SWOT
A strategic analysis to analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
Vision
A one-sentence statement describing the clear and inspirational long-term, desired change resulting from an organization or program’s work.
Mission
A way to accomplish vision, including the organization’s core purpose, core value, beliefs, culture, primary business, and primary customers.
Strategic Objectives:
The means of achieving the mission and vision.
Portfolio Management:
The centralized management of one or more portfolios to achieve strategic objectives for an organization.
Portfolio
Projects, programs, subportfolios and operations managed as a group to achieve strategic objectives.
Program
A group of related projects, subprograms, and program activities managed in a coordinated way to obtain benefits.
Statement of Work (SOW):
A narrative description of products, services, or results to be provided by the proposed project.
Business Case:
The benefit of the proposed project used as a basis for the authorization of further project management activities.
