Rules for Ethical Decision Making
- When team act ethically, their members supports them
- When making decisions, leaders must consider the claims and opinions of his members
- To help their team to make ethical decisions and behave in ways that benefit its members, leaders can use 4 ethical rules or principles to analyze the effect of their decisions in their productivity: utilitarian, moral rights, justice, and practical rules.
Why should a leader behave ethically?
The relentless pursuit of self-interest can lead to a collective disaster when one or more people start to profit from being unethical because this encourages other people to act in the same way.
More and more people jump onto the bandwagon, and soon everybody is trying to manipulate the situation to serve their personal ends with no regard for the effects of their actions on others. This situation is sometimes called the “tragedy of commons”.
Diversity meaning
Are the differences among people due to age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, education, physical appearance, capabilities and any other characteristics used to distinguish people.
