Data Sheet
Airport Design is based on the Airport Reference Code (ARC). How is the ARC determined?
The ARC is determined by the critical aircraft, which is the largest aircraft that has more than 500 itenerant operations per year into that airport.
The federally aprroved document known as the Airport Layout Plan (ALP) depicts what?
The current and existing layout of the airport structures, airfield, and facilities. It must always be up to date in order for the airport to be eligible for federal funding.
What is the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)?
It’s the local airport operators 5-6 year plan for capital improvement projects.
What is the Airport Master Record (5010 form)?
Provides a large variety of information on an individual airport, including metrics (operations, enplanements, etc) runway characteristics, standing warnings or notices, airspace obstructions and more.
What is the Airport Facility Directory?
Also known as chart supplements, contains data on public and joint-use airports.
What is the Airport Capital Improvement Plan?
The primary planning tool for identifying and prioritizing critical airport development. Also serves as the basis for the distribution of grant funds under AIP.
Grant Assurance #29 Airport Layout Plan requires what?
Requires that the airport sponsor keep the ALP updated at all times. The FAA has to approve the ALP in order to receive federal funding and any changes must be submitted to the FAA.
What is the Airport Property Map (Exhibit A)?
Shows land parcels and how they were aquired.
