What are some indicators of being
religious?

- Devoting their time by going to rituals, celebrations or practices
- Having a set of beliefs
Does ‘being religious’ mean what a
person believes in, how they participate in their faith or how their behaviour matches their stated beliefs? Discuss.
I personally believe that being religious is what a person feels and expresses their feelings to a divine being/higher power and being able to create that strong connection and further the understanding of what religion means to them.
What are the types of responses to religion and define each
- Secularism: promotion of society’s idea or values over religious ways of thought.
- Atheism: people who do not believe in any religion and live as there is no God
- Agnosticism: people who are uncertain if God exists at all and questioning people’s beliefs in God
- Humanism: based on the understanding that the world itself and human beings reveal all.
Describe the development of religion
Some religions believe in one God, while others believe in multiple Gods and other religions believe that all people are equal and others don’t.
