What is an IP address?
An IP address is a unique identifier composed of 4 sets of numbers from 0 to 255 assigned to a device when it connects to the internet.
What is a local network?
A local network is created by a router and is a group of devices connected to the internet through that router and assigned different local IP addresses.
What is a server?
A server is a computer whose job is to serve something and has a public IP address and a domain name.
What is DNS?
DNS (Domain Name System) is a network of servers that maps domain names to IP addresses and makes it easy for both humans and computers to communicate with each other.
What is TCP/IP?
TCP/IP (Internet Protocol Suite) is the protocol that powers the internet and consists of the IP protocol (which defines how computers find each other) and transport protocols (which define how computers send packets of data to each other).
