Module 1: Why Regenerative Agriculture? Flashcards

1
Q

What is regenerative agriculture?

A

Regenerative agriculture describes a farming & grazing practice that reverses climate change by restoring soil health & soil diversity which results in carbon sequestering & restored water cycles (instead run offs water gets stored in the soil)
It centers on holistic land & animal management that is centered around photosynthesis in plants: sequester carbon, restore soil health with a strong microbiome root system, produce strong, resilient plants and in turn nutrient dense food.
