extension of theraputic effect (overdose), unrelated to main drug action (ex.naseua), alergic reaction,withdrawl and addiction, teratogenesis (fetus) , adverse biotransformation reaction (when drug is converted to a chemically reactive metabolite that cna bind to tissue components and cause tissue or organ damage)

A

rarity of occurence, lenght of usage (dosent happen till later), may not e detectible in animals, time period specififty (ex, abnormalities in fetus)
