the least reliable form of contraception

Rhythm method
requires a couple to abstain from coitus (sexual relations) on the days of a menstrual cycle when the woman is most likely to conceive (3 or 4 days before until 3 or 4 days after ovulation).
CALENDAR METHOD
PERCENT EFFECTIVENESS: 91% with perfect use and 75% with typical use.
HOW TO USE CALENDAR METHOD
Example 1
SHORTEST CYCLE: 24 DAYS
LONGEST CYCLE: 29 DAYS
24 – 18 = 6TH DAY
29 – 11 = 18TH DAY
*To avoid conception, the
couple would abstain during
the fertile period (days 6
through 18)
