“HISTORIA” (Greek word)
the record of the human past from the time then began to appear
Written records
interpretative and imaginative study of surviving records of the past
written or unwritten
Two major considerations
History relates to everything that had happened in the past
History refers to a kind of research or inquiry.
The meaning of history can be broken down into three (3) dimensions
First: History is focus on human activities
Second: History as a field of inquiry, generally fall in the science, particularly to the social sciences.
Finally: History is concerned with the past.
Relevance of History
Bridging the gap between the present and the past.
Projecting the future.
Interpreting condition of a given space and time.
Explaining the causes of things and events.
Explaining the causes of things and events.

Patriotism
“the policy or doctrine of asserting the interests of one’s own nation viewed as separate from the interests of other nations or the common interests of all nations.” In short,it is a kind of excessive, aggressive patriotism
