Four levels of sedation
A
- Mininal: anxiolysis normal verbal response
- Moderate: conscious sedation purposeful movement and responds to light touch
- Deep Sedation: responds to repeated or painful stimuli; risk of respiratory/cardiovascular compromise
- General Anesthesia: unarousable to pain, reflex withdrawal; risk of respiratory/cardiovascular compromise
