Q

The versatility of the OPT model enables certified personal trainers to create an integrated training program for each individual client based on three distinct levels including stabilization, strength, and power with varying phases within each level based on the clients fitness goals. Each level gradually builds upon one another from the foundation of stabilization endurance to increase muscular endurance or stability and coordination and enables all muscles to work together.
Each client will have a different foundation depending on their individual fitness level where the OPT model may be customized with specific exercises to match the clients goals and progression through this model.

Once stabilization endurance is reached, the client may progress to the next three phases in the strength level continually building upon stabilization and increasing prime mover strength by introducing supersets and or moderate loads and repetitions, thereby increasing through each phase to higher loads, lower repetitions with longer rest periods in the third phase of the strength level.
After successful progression through the second level of strength training, the client may advance to power level or phase five. Power level may be achieved by enhancing the development of speed and power movements by integrating exercises with strength and power supersets as fast as can be controlled.
