Both acknowledge the importance of conscious goals and self efficacy
How are commitment, feedback and complexity important to goals?
Commitment - commitment is associated with the amount of effort exerted, such that the more commitment, the greater the effort. This is because commitment is similar to perceived importance of the task, and importance is instrumental to achievement. Satisfaction is another key variable related to commitment.
Feedback - feedback enables individuals to adjust their efforts accordingly, i.e. either by increasing effort if needed, or relaxing effort, if appropriate.
Complexity - complexity is inversely related to achievement. That is, as a task becomes more complex, other variables such as knowledge, skill, and ability will affect performance.
What is importance environment fit?
People should select jobs that suit their interests

Personality inventories are direct measures of reputation but indirect measures of identity and interest inventories are direct measures of identity and indirector measures of reputation
