What is a point?
A specific location
What is a line?
A connected straight path, continues forever in both directions.
What is a plane?
A flat surface, continues forever in all directions.
What is a line segment?
Portion of a line consisting of two endpoints and all of the points between them.
What is a ray?
Portion of a line that starts at an endpoint and continues forever in one direction.
What are endpoints?
The two points ending a line segment.
What does it mean if something is coplanar?
They are points that lie on the same plane
What does parallel mean?
Lines that are in the same plane but do not intersect.
What does collinear mean?
Points that lie on the same line
What does postulate mean?
A statement that is accepted as true without proof
What is segment addition postulate?
Part+Part=Whole
What is a midpoint?
A point that divides the segment into two equal segments
What is a segment bisector?
A line, ray, or other figure that passes through the midpoint. It cuts the segment in half.
