What is PHILOSOPHY?
A particular set of ideas about knowledge, truth, the nature and meaning of life.
What is PHILOSOPHY OF SELF?
It is about the identity that make the individual distinct from all others.
What is IDENTITY?
this means the qualities, characteristics, beliefs etc. that makes a person or group unique from one another.
What are the 5 WAYS OF CONCEPT IN SELF?
Self-knowledge, Self-activity, Self-independent of the senses, Self-identity, and Self-image.
What is SELF-KNOWLEDGE?
This refers to one’s knowledge and understanding of one’s own learning’s, characters, motivations, and capabilities.
What is SELF-ACTIVITY?
it is an independent and self-determined action of one person. A person’s decision to carry out actions which you have thought about yourself and ot been told to do by others.
What is the SELF-INDEPENDENT OF THE SENSES?
referes to the inner self. It is related to a person’s sense of worth and self-esteem and help us to strive to achieve our goals in life
What is SELF-IDENTITY?
is the recognition of one’s potentials and qualities as an individuals, his/her uniqueness.
What is SELF-IMAGE?
it is a mental picture of an individual and is quite resistant to change through time regarding one’s abilities, personality, and role.
What is the beliefs in HINDU philosophy of self?
Believes that the self is made up of two aspects which is ATMAN and BRAHMAN
What is ATMAN?
This means “ essence, breath, or soul”. The innermost essence and soul of the person.
What us BRAHMAN?
Connotes the highest universal principle, the ultimate reality in the universe. It is the material, formal and final cause of all the exists.
What does BUDDHIST teach?
Buddhist’s teaching of self is to understand the nature of self.

Five Skandhas of the Five heaps
What is FORM in buddhist?
It is a physical form
What is SENSATION in buddhist?
This is made up of feelings including our senses, seeing, hearing, tasting, touching, and smelling
What is PERCEPTION in buddhist?
it is about the conceptualization, cognition, reasoning
What is MENTAL FORMATION in buddhist?
In this it includes habits, prejudices, predispositions, human volition, or willfulness.
What is CONSCIOUSNESS in buddhist?
It is about awareness or being sensitive to an object, but without conceptualization
What is CONFUCIAN PHILOSOPHY?
it is a personality as such is not seen as inherently existing, but as something, that is being formed through upbringing and environment. In that, the human being is seen as a social being.
