A. Expository
A type of writing where the purpose is to explain, inform, or even describe. It is considered one of the four most common rhetorical mode.
B. Description
a spoken or written representation or account of a person, object, or event.
C. Narration
The action or process of narrating a story.
D. Persuasion/Arguement
The action or fact of persuading someone or of being persuaded to do or believe something.
An exchange of diverging or opposite views, typically a heated or angry one.

The action or process of classifying something according to shared qualities or characteristics.
A. 2. Cause and Effect
The principle of causation.
Something causes something else
A. 3. Comparison/Contrast
Act or instance of comparing.
Compare in such a way as to emphasize differences.
A. 4. Definition
A statement of the exact meaning of a word.
A. 5. Analysis
Detailed examination of the elements or structure of something, typically as a basis for discussion or interpretation.
