Short period of intensive growth in which industrialisation occurs bringing concentration of labour to capital
Drive to maturity
Diversification, innovation, less reliance on imports and high investment
High mass consumption
Consumer oriented service sector dominance, dependent on global economy and market managing economies
Friedman’s core periphery
Capital is concentrated in CBD but labour and raw materials scarce
In periphery vice versa
