O2 poor = blue blood, return to the right side of heart
goes from top right of the right atrium, bottom right ventricle, across to the pulmonary arteries going to the lungs
Why does poor oxygen blood go to the lungs?
lungs refresh blood w/new supply of oxygen
Which side does oxygen rich blood enter? What color? Tell me the parts of the heart that it enters and exits in order
O2 rich = red blood, enters left side of heart
goes from left atrium, left ventricle, across to aorta pumping blood to rest of the body
What helps to keep the heart moving the correct way? How does it act? What are the requirements to using it? How often is it used? List and categorize.

are like gates = open only one way and when pushed on

right side of heart: tricuspid valve, pulmonary valve
left side of heart: mitral valve, aortic valve

relax, filled w/blood coming from upper atriums = diastole
How does the heart get oxygen?
blood vessels = coronary arteries extend over surface of heart branching into smaller capillaries

What network helps keep the heart beating? What system helps keep the heart rhythm?
heart has electric wiring = keep it beating
begin behind the right atrium then go to the ventricles, delivering signal to pump
conduction system = keep the rhythm of beating
