In 1907 What did John D Rockefeller do?
Gave money for the Counsel for American Medical education.
They created a report for the community to know the medical education that was being delivered. It was vast; Medicine was taught with no real standards up until this point.
(No Standardized Medical Curriculum 1909)
Why was Abe Flexner hired?
He had no opinion on the field because he was a historian, so he was paid to unbiased write this report.

What was the idea of Flexner visiting Medical facilities?
Create report cards made osteopathy become more like medical schools/ have a more allopathic outlook and oppressive for osteo

William Randolph Hearst –> Because osteo’s don’t place compliance on pills and potions as the orthodox Dr.’s does.
How did the report effect osteopathy education in America?
Not a single osteo school was closed because of the report. Reporting as he saw them.

2) General Medicine absorbs it.
