In what ways are devolved powers similar to local government powers?
They have no constitutional right to exist, meaning they could be abolished at any time.
What type of vote was used to establish devolution in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

SNP and Labour.
Give an example of a power devolved to Scotland and explain why you think this power has been given to them.
Scotland gained the ability to pass laws as they voted in its referendum for a Parliament and tax raising powers.
Give an example of a reserved power and explain why you think the UK Parliament still has control over this.
Defence and National Security. The UK Parliament still has control over this because the problems will affect the whole country.
