What are the mobile design guidelines?

A
  • Design for simplicity
  • Minimize user input
  • Minimize vertical scrolling, avoid vertical horizontal scrolling
  • Prioritize information in each screen
  • Useful error messages, feedback
  • Ensure fast system response time
  • Relate visual precedence to task importance
  • Need to be focused, more is not better
  • Navigation should be narrow and shallow
  • Keep the most important features

Common: Swipe left or right, pinch to zoom(2 fingers), rotate (2 fingers)

Newer gestures: Press & hold (3D touch), more than 3 fingers, Gaze, Face ID, “Air”
