Preferred roaming list
Priority ordered list of the other carrier networks and frequencies it should search for when it can’t locate its home carriers network
Updates to this list are sent via your phones cellular connection
Called baseband or over-the-air updates (sometimes through firmware updates)

Also received by CDMA devices
Modify a host of complex device settings
Carries use these to ready the device for deployment on their networks
Enable carrier to route calls/messages to the device and more
IMEI
International mobile equipment identity
15 digit number used to uniquely identify a mobile device
Unique to devices using the global system for mobile communications family of technologies

Global system for mobile communication
ICCID
Integrated circuit card identifier
Uniquely identifies a subscriber identity module (SIM)
SIM
Subscriber identity module
Contains information unique to the subscriber (owner of phone)
Can be moved from phone to phone usually without issue
IMSI
International mobile subscriber identity number
Also included on the SIM
Represents the actual user associated with the SIM
Not normally accessible from the phone
Available from the carrier to ensure stolen phones are not misused
Can be used to unlock phone
MDM
Mobile device management software
Collects the IMEI, ICCID, and IMSI identifiers along with other device information during provisioning process and stores them in mobile device inventory
